The Office – Too Much Reality, Just Enough Ping-Pong

November 16, 2007

The Office – Deposition on NBC 11/15/07
Last night was a rough night for Michael Scott and myself. I was pretty disappointed in last nights episode. Nobody ever likes to see bad things happen to Michael Scott, but last night the blows just kept coming…(That’s what she said). michaeldeposition.jpgI feel like last nights episode did not have the same light hearted banter throughout the office that I am accustomed to. The Office – Only the Strong Survive

November 9, 2007

The Office this week was hilarious. Many laugh out loud moments. Michael is feeling left out, Ryan invited a number of regional managers and Toby to go on a men’s camping adventure in order to get to know them better. Michael was not invited and as can be expected, is not taking it too well. As Toby recounts stories from their trip Michael gets more and more aggravated until he decides to go on his own camping trip.

Initially, Michael tries to convince Jim to go camping with him. This is a great scene where Michael asks Jim a “hypothetical question”. Jim’s comment about always responding yes to Michael’s hypothetical questions and then being too busy to follow through was great, especially when his excuse for not going camping was that he was going to give blood. The Office – 5 seconds of fame

October 29, 2007

** Spoiler Warning, this post discusses plotlines that include episodes of each show up to the episodes that aired in the US the week of October 21 through 27th. **

The Office airs on Thursdays

The Office was stellar as usual. The folks at Dunder Mifflin create their own commercial to air on local television. Dwight gets a hint that Angela might still be pining for him and there is a little foreshadowing that Pam might be breaking out of her receptionist role. I am going to predict right here that she will get “discovered” for her graphic art talents and her promotion and relocation will be the major strain on her relationship with Jim that plays out for the rest of the season.

   Highlights from the show are:

When Michael asks Pam to clear his phone lines…

Randy’s inability to remember the end of the Kit-Kat jingle that plagues him.

Michael telling Daryl he hates his commercial song.

Dwight’s second life character that is a paper salesman who can fly.
